Since Self and Google Cloud's USA₮ Mainnet Faucet went live in August, more than 9,000 unique, verified humans have claimed free stablecoins, many of them for the first time. For the next 7,500 verified users, the teams are doubling USA₮ distribution. Valora has supported USA₮, a U.S.-regulated dollar stablecoin issued by Anchorage Digital Bank, N.A., and backed by Tether, since it was deployed on Celo in July. All faucet claims are gasless and open to eligible users worldwide.
How It Works:
- Visit Google Cloud's Mainnet Faucet portal
- Connect your Valora wallet to the USA₮ Mainnet Faucet
- Verify your identity with Self, using only your biometric passport, ID card, or Aadhaar
- Self uses zero-knowledge technology to generate a proof that you are eligible (18+, not a resident of an OFAC-sanctioned country) without ever transmitting your raw personal data
- Verifications on Self using third-party verifiers are not eligible for the USA₮ rewards
- Once your Self verification is complete, your wallet will immediately receive 2 USA₮ for free
- Send USA₮ to another Celo wallet to receive another 0.8 USA₮, which lands 24 to 48 hours after the transaction
- Hold 20 USA₮ or more on Valora for at least 10 consecutive days to receive another 1.2 USA₮
