USD₮ is a stablecoin widely used daily in $60B+ transactions. Its value is pegged to the US dollar and backed by reserves to make sure the value stays extremely close to to $1 in USD all the time. Now USD₮ is available for use directly in the Valora wallet on the Celo network.
Earning Pools let you earn rewards by depositing stablecoins like USD₮ into liquidity pools linked to directly within the Valora app. These pools, created, managed and supported by DeFi (decentralized finance) protocols, are where your funds help facilitate trades or lending, and in return, you receive a share of the rewards generated. Your funds stay on-chain, and you can withdraw them—plus any earnings—at any time.
Make sure to get your Valora wallet address so you can submit it at the end of this step to receive your USD₮ reward.
Open Valora: Launch the app and navigate to the "Discover" section.
Select a Pool: Tap on "Active Pools" to view available options
Deposit Funds: Select a USD₮ pool and then deposit your USD₮
Earn Rewards: Your deposit starts earning rewards immediately
Hold for 1 week: Hold your USD₮ in the USD₮ pool in Valora and watch your USD₮ value grow
Withdraw Earnings: Withdraw your original USD₮ deposit any time along with your earned rewards
